Main Duties

  • Support all facets of information systems including readiness of WAN network services, server administration and maintenance, network device administration and maintenance, information systems security, and application support.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the network, including server infrastructure, backups, firewalls, IP telephony, access points, routers, and switches.
  • Evaluate and test network changes in accordance to quality control procedures such as performance of the system and designs, and modify enhancements as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain network and server performance.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Implement network security measures in order to protect data, software and hardware.
  • Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles.
  • Inspects personal computer equipment, installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user's premises.
  • Administer and maintain full documentation of network configuration, asset management, applications, and design.
  • Ensure all the IT-related policies and procedures are appropriately documented and implemented.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to users’ support request in relation with networking, operating system, system hardware diagnoses, software, and operator problems.
  • Initiates systems/network trouble shooting and monitoring. Replaces defective components as per need.
  • Communicates and coordinates closely with his team members as being part of the IT SUPPORT unit.
  • Places support calls to externals solution providers, network services, or other IT support companies.


  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Network/Security components.
  • Ability to work alone and in team/cooperative development efforts.
  • Excellent written and oral Arabic and English communication skills.
  • Strong personal skills: must have ability to work in supporting capacity within a team under changing priorities on a daily basis.
  • Must possess organizational, time management, and motivational skills.
  • Should be an efficient team player contributing positively in the development team.
  • Self-directed, pro-active, self-starter who excels in an environment with limited supervision.
  • High level of organization, detail-oriented and ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve the process.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver requirements within deadline.

Technical Prerequisites

  • Experience with Windows Servers, Network Systems and internet connectivity.
  • Knowledge of emerging Internet technologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge in 3rd party cloud hosting engagements.
  • Knowledge of application protocols and standards.
  • Conversant with application service provision and runtime environments (such as .Net, Java, web applications) is desirable.
  • Experience with various Client and Data Center Operating Systems; Linux, UNIX, Mac OS and Windows.
  • Experience with the installation and configuration of virtualization software: Hyper-v, VMware, etc.
